Document Retention

Test plans, scenarios, completed scripts with results, and defect information should all be saved/stored for the following uses:
* Retention times need to consider both legal (Federal, State, Local) compliance guidelines as well as the needs of MSU business areas.
Electronic files can be saved to a shared team folder, a wiki such as Confluence, or SharePoint site allow MSU access to anyone with a network connection and sufficient VPN access security/rights.
- Reuse to test future software enhancements or vendor-provided upgrades
- Complete compatibility and/or regression testing tasks
- Support internal or external audits; documented proof of what was tested and found
