Testing Evaluation
While the testing experience is still recent/relevant, analyze and evaluate the process from a quality perspective:
- What worked well during testing, and what didn't work well?
- How many issues were identified? If less than expected, was the testing effort at a level that it needed to be? If more issues were found than expected, what were the primary root causes? This information is important and can be used to calibrate future development processes and testing efforts.
- What percentage of issues were of a high and critical severity level? Assess what can be done in the future from a requirements and development perspective to lower the risk of critical and high issues, which can negatively impact testing progress.
- Any other lessons learned than can be applied to improve the overall quality of the software (for the software just tested, or to improve on the software design and testing process in the future)?
